Is this the best way to get rid of IBS?

Suffering from "irritable bowel syndrome"? So many people these days are suffering from IBS.

People jump on probiotics, elimination diets, supplements in an effort to fix the problem.

But what if you do all these things (eat healthy, take your probiotics) but still can't get rid of IBS?

Well this new study shows that there is hope.

The study took 53 adults with IBS and put them on a "mindfulness" program for 8 weeks.

And guess what: at the conclusion of this period, 71% of them saw a significant improvement in their IBS symptoms.

Am I surprised? No: the digestive system and nervous system are very closely linked. This is what when you're nervous about something, your digestion gets affected.

But to see an intervention study where the impact of a mindfulness practice on digestive symptoms is so evident is interesting.

I personally use Headspace and I know people who use Calm with great success.
