What kind of men are women attracted to?

Are there women who are attracted more to "less strong, softer men"?

The answer (accordingly to a number of studies which looked into this): is YES.

BUT! There is a caveat here.

Let's start at the beginning:

A new study published in the Royal Society journal took a large group of women (160) and ran a study to find out the women's preferences between:

1. "less muscular, more ordinary looking men"; or

2. "more muscular, clearly stronger men with more self-confidence".

The result supported the findings of previous studies:

Every single woman in the study preferred the "more muscular / stronger men with more self-confidence".

Every one of them, without exception.

In fact, that's hardwired in our DNA as humans: we are attracted to potential mates who can maximize our chances to thrive.

The same thing happens in the animal kingdom.

Females are mainly attracted to males who demonstrate "physical strength, leadership, and ability to provide food and shelter".

Males are mainly attracted to females who demonstrate "fertility and ability to care for a family".

This is why studies have also shown that men prefer women whose bodies appear to be most fertile: "physically strong and shapely".

Something weird happens when women are on "birth control pills" however.

Because these pills basically "shut down" the fertility in women, their preferences change!

Women on birth control pills are actually more attracted to men who are:

- Feminine-looking

- Less physically strong

- More genetically similar to them

- Smell more like them

In fact, studies which have looked at this have revealed a relationship between birth control pills and divorces:

Women who meet their future husband while on birth control pills and then stop taking the pill after marriage have a higher rate of divorce!

That's because their preferences change: they are no longer as attracted to them, and revert back to being attracted to a typical profile: "strong, more muscular, more confident".

This is one of many psychological side-effects linked to birth control pills, alongside a number of health issues, which I won't get into in this article.

So, bottom line for men:

Women are genetically hardwired to be attracted to men who appear "physically stronger, demonstrate confidence, leadership, and being able to provide for their family / tribe".

So,

Get fit.

Be smart with money.

Be there for your tribe, always.
